Llegu\u00e9 a un cruce junto a una gasolinera cuando una chica de diecis\u00e9is a\u00f1os se volvi\u00f3 hacia m\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>En lugar de arrojarme sobre la bicicleta, Lisa fue arrojada a diez metros de la escena. Lamentablemente, Lisa no sobrevivi\u00f3. Tuve que hacerme reconstruir las cuencas de los ojos, sufr\u00ed diecis\u00e9is cirug\u00edas y cinco meses en el hospital.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Me pusieron bajo vigilancia de suicidio durante casi dos a\u00f1os y sent\u00ed ganas de rendirme por un tiempo. Un d\u00eda, con el apoyo de mi hijo y amigos, tom\u00e9 la determinaci\u00f3n de seguir adelante y comenc\u00e9 a salir en p\u00fablico nuevamente. Soy un veterano de Vietnam y el VA ha sido muy bueno conmigo y con la ayuda de algunos trabajadores de salud mental talentosos, poco a poco me anim\u00e9.
